1st week Med/Surg

I have been @ Lake Norman the past two days. I had a 91 year old patient that came in with worsening right leg edema. He had been helping his wife get into bed one day & hit his leg. Over the last week he had developed a huge hematoma and the doctor's were considering compartment syndrome, which they later ruled out. He went to surgery yesterday and had a hematoma evacuation, then had a wound vac applied. He has been very adament about going home, however the doctor's seem that he is not able. I think they're going to try and get home health to assist him until he is well again, however he has already run home health off once! I wonder how it will turn out?? :]
