3G at NEMC - Renal

My patient this week was an 82 yo female in end stage renal disease. She has a Hx of dementia and her speech was slurred. Communication was limited but I did manage to get a smile or two from her. Today, I was not able to do much for her but assess and offer breakfast as she went to hemodialysis at 0800. I was able to observe the nurses hook up the filtering machine and asked questions. It seemed like an interesting job too.
