Nursery

This week I was in the nursery. The first day I was really nervous doing my newborn assessment. The mother was watching me and when the baby started to cry she came and stood beside me and stayed right at my side watching my every move, it didn't help that she was also a nurse so I kind of felt a little intimidated. She was a little irritable due the fact that she was exausted. She wasn't rude or anything, I just felt I was kind of in the way. She was actually trying to help. Day 2 was better I felt more comfortable with the baby since I had already completed an assessment the day before. I had alot more confidence. All in all it was a good week. Quiet but fun.
