Clinical week#3 @RRMC

This week my clinical group rotated afternoon(1-6PM). I can tell that it is a little bit different than in the morning.Babies were out from the nursery, they were with their mothers all the times.During the morning shift, babies are in the nursery until 0900 hours.
On thursday I did postpartum assessment( patient was nurse graduated from RCCC last year). I did not have anything special to do because patient had vaginal delivery without episiotomy. That was her second child (G2T2P0A0L2).I had good time practicing postpartum assesment and she was nice patient.
On friday I was assigned to the nursery.I had good time teaching mother how to properly BF. Despite her second baby she did not know how to BF, because she told me that nobody tought her with her first baby.She is 20 y.o and she smokes. I did not like that. I had good time this week,I enjoyed work with nurses, Mrs.Phelps and my clinical group.
