I don't know why, but I have been forgetting to blog, so..I'll tell you about my first couple weeks now. The first week was REALLY good!!! My first day I was able to watch 2 deliveries (vaginal). Both went great without any problems. They both had an epidural and breezed through it like they do it every day. I was very lucky to have seen them because at Rowan, there aren't very many chances to watch a birth. I loved being there and watching a new life come into this world, this is defininatly what I want to do when I'm done with school. The second day, I was at the health dept. This wasn't nearly as exciting. I only seen 2 clients all day, and it was just interviews.
My second week in clinical was in lab simulation with Ms. Ward. LOVED it! I learned alot, although I'm still confused on calculating Pitocin, the lab gives us an oportunity to not be so stressed and to feel more comfortable making nursing decisions. Thank you Ms. Ward.
