Mother/Baby

This week was my first week on the mother/baby unit at NEMC. I was very nervous at first, but after getting started I really enjoyed my week. On Thursday my patient was a 29 y.o. multipara. Gravita 2 Para 2. She was in for an induction, she delivered a 9lb 8oz baby boy at 1100 that morning. She was a nurse at NEMC, so this was a good experience for me, she was very understanding. I also gave my first hep B shot to a baby boy that day. On Friday, my patient was 22 y.o., multipara. Gravida 3 Para 3. She was in for an induction on Thursday. The baby began have decels, so the dr. had to perform and emergency c-section. I had a very good experience this week, and i'm looking forward to another week.
