week #3

I was on L&D at RRMC in postpartum care this week with Mrs. Phelps. The first patient I had was having trouble breastfeeding so we called the lactation consultant to come and talk to her about breastfeeding. She was a nurse and was good to learn on, she was very nice and had no complaints about all the stuff we had to asses on her since she had been thorough it already herself. The patient I had on Friday was a c-section delivery and Herpes positive. She had an abusive relationship according the chart but the father of the child seemed to be helping her out as far as I could tell. You just never know so be on the lookout in all situations.
