I love holding and cuddling the babies! I was at Rowan Reg today and was assigned to the nursery. The newborn assessment was easy enough, and I also got to give a Hep B vaccination.
Then I got to see a circumcision (ouch!). When we took the baby to his mother I had to teach her about circumcision care. She called for help to change his dirty diaper because she wasn't sure how to clean him up. She was afraid she would hurt his circumcision, so I reinforced the training and she seemed comfortable after seeing me do it. It was fun getting to do the teaching and seeing her gain confidence for when she gets home.
