first week of OB

Well...this week was very different for me, I have only worked in mother/baby like twice so I was a little lost..on the first day, I took care of a mother and her baby, this was her 5th pregnancy so she new a little more than me about what was going on. The charting was the most difficult because of the computer part at NEMC just because I am not farmiliar of what is going on with it!! Another problem I had was finding the fundus on my pt. because she had just had a tubal ligation and was in a lot of pain....so it was very interesting. The second day was a little boring because my pt went home and Lauren and I got sent to L&D...while we sat and waited for about 5 hours for nothing to happen...we just talked with the nurses about some of their experiences!! We did find out that one of the pt's that was going to deliver that day had two uterus' and two cervixes ( i dont know how to say it pleural) lol!! but overall it was and ok clinical experience!!
