OB rotation

Well this week I had one day in the newborn nursery and one in labor and delivery. I have to be honest I was very nervous about taking care of the babies, but once I got started it was okay. I gave 3 IM injections. I even held one of the little guys!!! The next day in labor and delivery I followed a nurse who was taking care of a 26 y/o. Things were moving a bit slow. I asked alot of questions to keep up. After waiting all morning she finally was complete and ready to push. The doctor was paged and within five minutes and one push(that right...just 1), a beautiful 4 lb 14 oz 17in baby boy was born. That made my whole day and has topped my favorite thus far this rotation. Hope evreyone else had a good week!
